Blogger Interview With Charne' From JustNey Blog

Tell me a bit about yourself and your blog?

(Awkwardly laughing) I never really know how to answer questions where I have to talk about myself, so I’ll start at my blog. JustNey is a place where I can be completely free and creative and basically share what I love, which is Beauty, Lifestyle, Hair and every now and then my #TruthBeTold moments. I love connecting with people through writing and beauty, and my blog is a space where I can do that.
As for me, I’m a pretty down to earth girl who sees the world in colour, I guess. I’m a very creative person and I often try to show that through my writing or my makeup. I love reading and obviously writing, and makeup.

What inspired you to start your blog, and when did you know it was something you wanted to do?

Honestly, my best friend. I’ve always been into beauty and fashion and everything that came with that, and one day my bestie randomly asked me, why I don’t just start a blog, seeing that I love writing etc. and shortly after I created my blog, I got invited to write about this fashion show, and I guess that’s when I realised, This is what I wanted to do.

What made you choose the name JustNey for your blog?

I wanted something that will be authentic and true to myself, so I thought seeing that my close friends and family calls me ‘Ney’, I wanted to let my readers feel close to me, by showing them who I am.

Who takes the majority of your photos?

I do.

How do you motivate yourself to keep the blog up and running?

I only blog about things that’s dear to my heart, and even though I don’t always have time to blog every week, I try to. So whenever I have something I feel like I should be sharing, I normally blog about it. It also helps that I have a support system (Bestie and Bae) that encourages me to write as often as I can.

What makes you happy?

Wine! (LOL), being surrounded by people who brings out the best in me.
Writing, Tea. I guess the little things in life.

What is your current beauty routine, and name a few products you can’t live without?

My beauty routine changes every day. It literally depends on the mood, but today I stated off by washing my face with the Ponds Pimple Clear, Followed by the Garnier BB Cream in medium.
Products I can’t live without : Mascara & Concealer.

How would you describe your personal style?

Confused young adult. It honestly depends on the mood, but most times I’m in an oversized t-shirt, with either Timberlands or some kind sneakers.

What are the first items you gravitate toward when shopping?

Makeup

When you are not blogging, what do you do to relax?

I’ve been into Korean dramas lately, so whenever I have some free time, you’ll find me in front of my laptop.

What is your favourite food and dessert?

I always go for something Italian or Mexican.
Dessert: Cheesecake (yum)

What is the biggest lesson you’ve learned, and would pass along to others just getting started in the world of blogging?

Breaking into the blogging world is tough, you need a thick skin. There’s a lot of ups and downs that comes with the title, but if it’s something you love, you’ll be fine. Also NETWORK! It’s so important to network with other bloggers and PR Companies.
