  • Torn Hearts: Can You Really Love Two People at Once?

Reader letters, stories and anonymous questions all answered with Luna’s gentle insight, compassion and care.

    💌 From: Torn Between Two
Topic: One Heart, Two Loves: What Does It Mean?

    Dear Luna

I’m struggling with something I never thought would happen to me. I’ve been with my partner for years and I do love them deeply. But recently I met someone else who has completely shaken my heart. It’s not just physical — it feels emotional and real.

I feel guilty and confused. Is it truly possible to love two people at the same time? And if so, what do I do with this love?

    🌙 Luna Responds

    Dear Torn Between Two

Your honesty already shows how much you care about everyone involved including yourself. Love isn’t always neat and rarely stays inside the lines we draw for it. And yes, it is possible to have genuine feelings for two people at once. Our hearts are complicated and capable of loving in ways that can surprise even us.

But while the heart can stretch, real life often asks us to choose. The real question isn’t just can I love two people, it’s what do I want to do with that love. Does it come from something missing in your current relationship or does this new connection bring out a part of you that’s been quiet for too long

You don’t need to rush to an answer but you do owe yourself honesty. And you owe your partner the same eventually. Pretending these feelings don’t exist often leads to deeper pain later.

Remember love isn’t only about what we feel, it’s also about what we choose and nurture. Whatever you decide, be gentle with yourself. You’re not a bad person for feeling what you feel.

    With love
    Luna
